Australia was introduced to Kate Ritchie as Sally Fletcher in a new series called Home & Away in 1988.

We wonder if Kate and Ron Moss are sharing the secrets to soap success - both are veterans of the industry. They were guests at the Melbourne Cup in 2005.

Finally

Finally, after 18 years of hard work Kate won a silver Logie for her role as Sally in Home & Away.

It takes more than two

It took more than just two for Kate and partner, Troy Casser-Daly on the hit show, It Takes Two - she was voted out early in 2006 but returned the following season to host.

Nick-ing Awards

Kate won a Nick Kids Choice award in 2006. We think the extra layers of fake tan weren't necessary though - we hear the Nick slime isn't that toxic.

Kate and Corbin

Kate started seeing Corbin Harris in 2007. Romance blossomed after the two met at Kate's former cast-mate Ada Nicodemou's wedding.

Golden smiles

... but this was the one she was really excited about! Finally, after 21 years in the industry, Kate had won the prestigious Gold Logie.

Resigned for radio

In December 2007, Kate announced she would be leaving Home & Away to join Merrick and Rosso's Nova breakfast show.

Goodbye Sally

In 2008, as Sally farewelled Summer Bay, Australia farewelled Sally Fletcher - and Kate Ritchie from our small screens.

Stepping out in style

In recent times Kate's stepped out at many a opening, gala and race meet (shown here on 2008 Emirates Doncaster day) - her fashion appearing more refined than ever. Kate - you look gorgeous!

Gold again

A perfect send off from Summer Bay, Kate won her second Gold Logie in 2008. Kate, you look radiant... in fact, better than ever!
