American Beauty and American Pie star Mena Suvari, 29, and musical director Simone Sestito are engaged to be married, the actress' representative has told People magazine.

The couple decided to tie the knot at a yet unspecified date during a recent trip to Jamaica, the magazine said on its website on Wednesday.

Suvari and Sestito met at Toronto's International Film Festival last year when the actress was promoting her film Stuck.

Suvari rose to prominence in American Beauty in 1999 as the sexy teenager who seduced Kevin Spacey, who won a best actor Oscar for his role.
