Olympic swimming stars Stephanie Rice and Eamon Sullivan took on their other roles as celebrities and underwear salespeople when they appeared in Melbourne.

The pair admitted to being exhausted after the Beijing Olympics but are committed to a national tour selling underwear together - a deal made before the Olympics and before they broke up as a couple.

They smiled for the cameras with triple gold medallist Rice deflecting questions about whether they would get back together.

"We are great friends," she said.

"It has not really sunk in for me (the Olympics), only getting back to Australia. It's been such a whirlwind and I am trying to enjoy everything that's happened."

Rice said she would take a break of at least six weeks from swimming, while Sullivan, who won silver and bronze in Beijing, said he was hungry to win gold at the 2012 Games in London.
